Same for just about every special move, they sadly do get stale. Sure, the animation of turning into a superhero is cool, but not after hundreds of times. It really is all the typical RPG lore, I would say.īut there is also a downside, a lot of that lore, it felt outdated to me. First, the amazing old skool RPG, it is really all there. Personally, I thought the game had two faces. They do overlap at some points and with this remaster, some added content is present for the fans of the game. Usually when I look at games like these, classics in the purest sense of the word, I try to see if I would really go all the way and in this game specifically, with its 8 storylines, it is more than difficult to really say. With beautiful graphics, as well as the addition of new events and features, SaGa Frontier Remastered is an experience not to be missed! Challenge yourself in nail-biting battles by using “glimmer” as well as learning new skills such as the ability to fire consecutive special attacks from multiple team members. Each have their own ways to upgrade and operate. The cool thing about this game was the different character types humans, monsters, mechs and mystics. Can be an issue selecting enemies too but not horrible. May be more of an issue with a large monster in your group standing in the way and I’ve not found a way to click around them. One issue is when healing characters and your mage is in the last slot it can be hard to select who you want to heal and if misclicked could start the round. The updated menus/ UI aren’t perfect but they’re fine. Works well on mobile no aiming like GTA even ff tactics was hard to rotate the screen on mobile but this one never had any of that. Every time ffvii came out on a new platform I said where’s Saga Frontier. I’ve been waiting for a rerelease of this game for so long. Additional new features have been added, including double-speed mode, making gameplay smoother than ever.
